Huddy, at tryhuddy.com, keeps the record of your home: what’s in it, what’s been done to it, and what needs doing next. Huddy is run by Jake Heaps. This page covers what Huddy keeps about you and what it does with it.
What Huddy keeps
- From Google when you sign in: your name, email address, and profile picture. Huddy asks Google for nothing else, so it can’t see your email, contacts, or files.
- What you add: homes, rooms, items, tasks, notes, receipts, photos, and documents.
- To keep you signed in: a sign-in cookie, and the IP address and browser of each session.
- If you turn on a home’s calendar link: a scrambled copy of its secret and when a calendar app last used it. Anyone with the link can see the home’s task and maintenance dates, with their item and room, until you turn it off.
- Request logs, kept for a few days to fix errors.
- A count of the photos, documents and voice notes Huddy reads for you, with each reading’s estimated cost, for each home and person. It’s used to enforce the monthly limits on readings. It doesn’t include the file or what was read from it.
How it’s used
Only to run Huddy for you and the people you share a home with. Huddy doesn’t sell your data, show ads, or share it with advertisers.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts Huddy and stores its data, which may be stored or processed outside the United States.
- Google signs you in.
- Anthropic gets the photo, PDF or voice-note transcript you ask Huddy to read. With a receipt, invoice or voice note it also gets your home’s room and item names (so it can suggest matches) and today’s date. This happens only when you choose Photo of a label, Receipt or invoice, or Voice note. Anthropic doesn’t train its models on it.
- Cloudflare Workers AI turns your voice recording into text. Huddy doesn’t keep the recording; it keeps the transcript only if you save the entry.
Shared homes
People you add to a home can see its records. The role you give them decides whether they can change them.
The demo
The demo keeps everything in your browser. Nothing you enter there reaches Huddy.
Deleting your data
Email support@tryhuddy.com from the address you sign in with. Huddy deletes your account, and every home no one else belongs to, within 30 days.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
